I began my teaching career at Blair Oaks High School in 2015. This wasn't my first experience with the school; however, as I am a Blair Oaks graduate of 2010. After high school, I attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Art, an Art Education Certification for K-12, and a psychology minor. Although I am temporarily finished with my schooling, I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and look to learn from my students every single day.

My husband, Adam, and I have been together since my Junior year at Blair Oaks. Our family consists of 2 cats, 2 axolotls, 4 chickens and a tiny Amano shrimp. I love to expose people to new types of creatures, so my axolotls often make an appearance in the classroom as our class pet.

I think my greatest strength as a teacher is my urge to try new things. It's important to me to never lose a healthy sense of curiosity and wonder.
